Meyer's Cocktail

Dr. Meyer was a physician at Johns Hopkins in the 1970's-1980's and many say, pioneered the use of intravenous vitamins and minerals to help manage various ailments. After his death no one seemed to know the exact protocol he used but a similar one was formulated so that his patients could continue receiving managements. This tweaked protocol was then named "The Meyer's Cocktail" in honor of the doctor.

Conditions It Manages

The Houston Wellness Clinic uses this therapy as an energy booster since it replaces low levels of nutrients and antioxidants. This is a safe, all natural way to give the body the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that it needs and, many times, is lacking. Not all conditions can be managed with The Meyer's Cocktail and therefore the doctor will first get a medical background and possible testing to make sure there are not more significant underlying issues that need to be addressed.

Management Plan

The Meyer's Cocktail uses multiple vitamins and minerals. The largest benefit is that critical nutrients do not have to pass through the digestive system and therefore the body can safely handle a much higher dose opposed to oral supplements. Additionally, studies have found that the concentration of these nutrients found in the plasma is significantly higher when given intravenously compared to orally.
